See your name light up my screen
I know this could only mean one thing
One more night of you and me
Free of all responsibility
Seven days and seven nights have gone
Staying up until dawn
Every minute in an afterglow
But there's something I just need to let you know
You, you are the one,
You are the one that's falling in love
I hope you know, I tried to save
Your heart from falling, but now it's too late
It's so hard for you to see
That this love will never be for me
You are more than just a friend
But we'd never make it in the end
Seven days and seven nights have gone
Staying up until dawn
Every minute in an afterglow
But there's something I just need to let you know
You, you are the one,
You are the one that's falling in love
I hope you know, I tried to save
Your heart from falling, but now it's too late

I was initially drawn toward Vulfpeck's earlier instrumental tracks. This album effectively earned my respect for their vocal works. Listening to "Running Away" and "Baby I Don't Know" is like uncovering buried gems from the 1970's. "Hero Town" sounds like an instrumental outtake from Three Dog Night's "Hard Labor" album with deeper bass, earning my respect for Jack Stratton's mixing skills. I would love to see him do a masterclass for mixing in the Vulf Conservatory. t0cktock
